Chiropractic care is a gentle, effective way to keep your spine and nervous system healthy. People from all walks of life visit chiropractors to help with problems like headaches, neck pain, low back pain, sports injuries and repetitive stress injuries. It is a team approach; your chiropractor will work with you, as well as other practitioners you are seeing or will be referred to (massage therapist, physiotherapist, for example) to determine the best treatment approach for you.
Over four million Canadians seek the help of chiropractors every year. Who are these people? Whether is it white collar or blue, superstar or your quiet neighbour, chiropractors help people stay healthy and able to do the things they enjoy doing. From Karen Furneaux to Tiger Woods to Clint Eastwood to Madonna, chiropractors help people perform at the highest level. Chiropractic care is tailored to suit the patient, so that even babies and people with osteoporosis can still be helped.
Your first visit consists of a thorough history and examination to determine if chiropractic is the right approach for you. If it is, then we will discuss the results of the examinations and what you should expect from treatment. If it isn’t, then we will discuss who would best help you. Your treatment will be tailored for you- both the way you are adjusted and the frequency of your visits.
Dr. Denise Wright & Dr. Krista Prowse Welch uses the Insight Millennium scanner as part of the initial assessment as well as during re-evaluations. It is provides more information about the state of your spine and nervous system, which is important in determining your care. It does not hurt at all- it is one of the easiest tests you will ever have to do.
