A diagnosis of osteoporosis does not mean that you have to stop seeing your chiropractor. You need to have a discussion with your chiropractor about your osteoporosis, so that he/she knows to change to an even more gentle method of treatment. You can still be adjusted, but it will be with far less force.

Chiropractic has an important role to play in the management of osteoporosis. By keeping your spine and nervous system working well and you pain-free, then your balance will be maintained. If you are steadier on your feet, then your risk of a fall is decreased and so is your risk of fracture. If you are not in pain, then you will be able to exercise to maintain your bone density.
